I am the broker owner of Real Estate Solutions in Morgan Hill specializing in residential, commercial and land real estate. I received my license in July of 1977 and focus on all aspects of real estate including commercial management.
I’m a former board member and chairman of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce and served as interim Executive Director, when the organization realigned its management structure. I continue to serve on the chamber’s Economic Development Committee. I also served on the boards of directors of Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network, the Committee for Green Foothills and Morgan Hill Independence Day Inc. (IDI), the all-volunteer organization that sponsors the City’s July 4th commemoration.
I also hold elective office as Director, District 1 - Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority. And if that isn’t enough, I’m a past-president of the Jaguar Associate Group, a Bay Area group of Jaguar car owners that is the world’s oldest Jaguar club and the largest of its kind in North America. I’ve always seen myself as a bridge between business and the environment. I am also a strong advocate of fostering the adoption of alternative energy sources like solar power.
I grew up in the food manufacturing and distribution business in San Francisco sweeping out a deli distribution warehouse at age eight. I always had a job to come back to progressing from janitor, warehouse man, driver, sales man and sales manager.
A Morgan Hill-area resident since 1979, I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Francisco, graduating from George Washington High School and moved on to Southern Oregon University in Ashland on a ski scholarship where I earned a BS in Chemistry and MA in History. I’m also a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College with an equivalent Masters in Public Administration.
I enlisted as a private in the National Guard, and served in the Army after college. I served as a helicopter pilot, artilleryman and administrator. I fought forest fires, rescued people and flew sick people to hospitals for years.
Desert Storm brought me out of retirement. I then served as the liaison between the Department of Defense and FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency. For five years and became expert in disaster relief.
During my military career, I led six commands and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

My wife Yarmila is an energy consultant and a residential designer who has designed many homes in Los Altos Hills and the Silver Creek Valley. She is also a former member of Morgan Hill’s Planning Commission and Architectural Review Board.
We are are parents of four grown children who together hold thirteen college degrees and they all have jobs! We also have eight grandchildren.
